HOW DID YOUR RESCUE DOG RESCUE YOU?
Simon has been my buddy since 2005. I found Mr. Simon curled up quietly in the middle of his cemented compartment at the Humane Society. When I tried to get his attention, he turned around and slowly walked to the adjacent outdoor space. He is aloof and independent.
After completing the adoption process, it was time to go home and he fairly pranced on his new leash through the parking lot! He jumped into the back seat and curled himself into a sleepy spiral on the way home. He is self-confident and content.
I was moving through divorce at the time. It was the most lengthy, painful, insecure time of my life. If Simon were not sitting with me, he was at my feet or stretched out on the floor or furniture somewhere close-by, watching me with those soul-searching eyes. He is my faithful companion, a happy reminder of devotion and unconditional love.
He is a steadfast gift in my life – protector, cuddler, partner, friend. Neither of us would be the same without the other. How grateful I am Simon accepted my care and commitment during all these years.
