I am their mom, giving me support as I take care of them

“Chelsea was given to me as a surprise, by my family, after I lost another dog. She was an ugly puppy but I couldn’t help but fall in love with her. She even has some of the same mannerisms that my last dog did, like acting she can’t get on the bed so I’ll pick her up. She is full of excitement and energy, which often makes her like a bull in a china shop. I love her enthusiasm for life, even if it knocks me over sometimes.

Thor is my protector and is so smart. He is very selective of who is good enough to be near me. He loves his toy zebra and loves carrying it around. He will bring it to me and sometimes we can sneak some one-on-one time while Chelsea is outside. Thor is sweet and the lover of the two dogs.

Thor and Chelsea are who greets me when I walk in the door in the morning after an overnight shift. I love taking them to the park right after I get home, when no one is there, and they can have their run of the place. We are completely in tune with each other. I know what they are thinking. I know their language and it is something special that just the three of us share. When we lay down they fight for the closest spot to me. They may be bed hogs but I don’t mind making room for them. They are my life. I am their mom, giving me support as I take care of them.”
