Using Furever USA to capture the love we have for our furry friends was an incredible experience! We had a great time working with Carmen today in Roseville, and we really feel she captured the spirit of our dogs and how important they are to us. We’ll now have beautiful portraits of our family for years to come, and we could not be more grateful!
I loved getting our sweet rescue dogs photographed by such a wonderful company. The experience was amazing and the photos turned out beautifully. They also helped place a foster dog I had into a perfect home. The whole staff were caring, kind and enjoyable to be around. This was a decision I am glad I made!
I’d been wanting to do a Furever USA shoot with my entire family since learning about them on FB and finally booked our session for the end of August. Before the shoot, I visited the website several times, clicked on each link, viewed each photo, and read each review. When they described an “experience,” I remember thinking to myself, “really? That sounds a little exaggerated.” But truth be told, it really was an experience. Before your session, a staff member will call you and you’ll chat for about 30 minutes about the impact your dogs have had on your life. If there are multiple people in the photos, they’ll get calls too. For our session, I was the only one who got a call because my husband, parents, and brother are persons of few words, so I was the spokesperson for our family. It also worked out because I know if they also received calls that they would be self-conscious and less relaxed during the session. On the day of there were no lights, fancy setups, or anything you’d expect from a photo session. It was a couch in the middle of a small studio with natural lighting, people sitting around, cuddling dogs, and talking about how awesome they are. That was it. And from that, Dee was able to capture some special moments—“micro-moments” she called them—that can only be captured by someone who is in tune with and truly understands the bond between a person and their dog. After the shoot we went away for about an hour, and when we returned the studio was converted into what can be likened to your own private movie room, except you view the photos you took set to music instead of watching a movie. Our three were tired from the excitement so they just snoozed (and snored) in our arms while my husband and I selected photos for our photo box. Originally, we thought we’d just do the package with the three 8x10s, but after seeing the moments Dee captured there was no way we could leave with only three pictures. We went with the 8x10 photo box and ended up paying WAY more than we planned to spend, but in the end we justified it by saying: 1) 5% of what we spend would go to the animal organization of our choice; 2) it’s the best deal of the ones they offered; and 3) these are memories that were captured exactly how we wanted to remember them. We’re going to pick up our photo box on Thursday and can’t wait! The studio had a sample box handy, so we were able to see firsthand the craftsmanship of the box and prints. The box is a beautiful way to display your photo (one at a time, but you can change which one goes in the window), and the prints are of the highest quality on the best mat and paper. It’s not print-at-Walgreens-and-buy-a-mat-from-Michael’s kind of quality. When it comes to the products, you definitely get what you pay for. I’ve already recommended booking an experience to all of the dog lovers in my life, and I’m recommending it to you, the reader, and encourage you to mention my name (Chanel Urbiztondo) because if you do we BOTH get either an 8x10 or a $150 credit! (If you don’t mention anyone’s name you don’t get the print/credit.) So don’t forget, WHEN you book your experience, tell them Chanel sent you!
I tend to hide things pretty well, but honestly after the photo shoot with Christy Arias and Furever USA this morning I couldn't. Going over the photos she took with her husband and Mitchel tears started to come down my face. When I lost Copper almost 2 years ago, he was the last remaining part of a chapter in my life. Copper kept me going when I wanted to give up. Losing him I felt I lost that light. Then Apollo showed up, in all his beastly happiness. He walked through my front door as if he already lived there. Mitchel and I were still fresh in our relationship and I will never forget when he came over and this big black, wiggly dog came running up to him. You could feel the cracks starting to mend, and the light returning. We became more and more a family. While Christy was taking photos and having fun I was just taking it all in, watching like I always do. She was truly capturing how my family has become whole. Something I didn't think could happen, but there it was the broken pieces finally mended. Christy and Furever we can't and I can't Thank You enough. You greeted us with the warmest of welcomes. Listening and learning about Apollo's story. This is experience is something we will not forget. Even while reviewing all the photos, her husband was so funny and sweet. Helping us in this experience, the viewing room again welcoming and comfortable. Furever is on a mission to help change the stigma of rescues, that they are all not broken and beyond repair. Well we can say this, our rescue, our happy wiggly lab mended us and brought a new blended family together. For that we will forever be grateful.
Jasen and Christy are AH-MAY-ZING. and of course Erin too! let me just tell y'all... I was not expecting the experience I got... AT ALL.. I have never ever been a more teary mess about a photo slideshow in my life, like full on tears streaming down my face with my eyeliner going with it. My Pugsy is 10 years old, and the absolute love of my life... hes been with me through everything in the last 4 years I have had him and I wouldnt trade a single moment for anything... and that's exactly what Christy caught in our session... she captured the emotion, my boys unique personality, the connection between me and my best friend and everything in between. Thank You for creating such a special experience, Thank You Jasen for dealing with my madness as I tried to narrow down my photos (hard feat... they were all PERFECT)... Just Thank You for the special memories you captured of my boy and I... Pugsy and I are Furever Grateful ❤
We have 3 rescue dogs and I gave my husband the photo shoot for Christmas. We scheduled it when our kids would be home from college/work. We all agreed this was far and above one of the best family adventures (any time you take 3 large, active dogs out, it is an adventure). The photo shoot was so much fun, the entire operation is set up for pets. We had fun and laughed and enjoyed our dogs. Then we got to see the pictures and that was the amazing part- they managed to capture the unique personality of each of the dogs as wells as the unique way each of us interacts and relates to them. Best. Day. Ever.
This was the coolest experience ever! They completely go out of their way to make it fun and comfortable. They dive deep into your relationship with your dog, and capture the love perfectly. This is not your traditional sit and smile for the camera photography, it is about the bond you share . The quality of photos is above any I have seen. I would highly recommend for anyone who loves their furbaby.
